The department of Mechanical Engineering was started in 2009 and has grown multifold & currently offers diploma course in Mechanical Engineering with an intake of 60 students, UG course in Mechanical Engineering with an intake of 60 students, PG courses in Machine Design with an intake of 18 students.

I feel privileged to be Head of Mechanical Department at VVIT which has given mea broad scope to implement my ideas and grow with the institution. We have verygood faculty members with great academic backgrounds. Each of our faculty members is ready and willing to work towards the academic and non academic activities for the welfare of the students.
We strive to ensure that all our students have a strong technical education with teaming and leadership skills, involvement in student activities, and the practical background of internship experience. We believe that emphasizing these areas will make our students well qualifid to take leadership roles in the future.
